Al-Tiba9 Gallery presents a solo exhibition, "PERSIAN VOGUE", of the Iranian artist Rabee Baghshani, whose explorations of culture, identity, and history bring together visual languages that transcend borders. Her work offers insights into the intersection of past and present, East and West, tradition and modernity.

Persian VOGUE | Rabee Baghshani

Rabee Baghshani is a digital artist from Mashhad, Iran, who has never left the country. She explores the intersection of cultural heritage, gender, and identity through digital collages that combine the rich history of Persian art with Western pop culture. Often juxtaposing Qajar figures in modern settings, she reflects on the fluidity of tradition and the evolving nature of cultural identity.

As one of the few female digital artists in Iran, Baghshani’s work also addresses themes of freedom and female empowerment, challenging social norms and gender restrictions. Her recent series, Women, focuses on amplifying women’s voices—particularly within the Iranian context—highlighting their resilience and strength in the face of oppression.

Through her art, Baghshani initiates a dialogue on the complexities of identity, the power of self-expression, and the ongoing struggle for gender equality.

Rabee Baghshani es una artista digital de Mashhad, Irán, que nunca ha salido del país. Explora la intersección entre el patrimonio cultural, el género y la identidad a través de collages digitales que combinan la rica historia del arte persa con la cultura pop occidental. A menudo yuxtapone figuras Qajari en contextos contemporáneos para reflexionar sobre la fluidez de la tradición y la naturaleza evolutiva de la identidad cultural.

Como una de las pocas artistas digitales femeninas en Irán, el trabajo de Baghshani también aborda temas de libertad y empoderamiento femenino, desafiando las normas sociales y las restricciones de género. Su serie más reciente, Women, se centra en amplificar las voces de las mujeres —particularmente en el contexto iraní— resaltando su resiliencia y fortaleza frente a la opresión.

A través de su arte, Baghshani inicia un diálogo sobre las complejidades de la identidad, el poder de la autoexpresión y la lucha constante por la igualdad de género.
